Weekends @ Beduin: Marc Vedo is a half Portuguese and half English international DJ/producer/promoter, currently residing in southwest England, in Bristol. He’s famous for producing bands like Massive Attack, Portishead and Roni Size, as well as DJ outfits Nick Warren and Stanton Warriors. Global music publication DJ Magazine quoted him as being ‘a rising force on the international DJ scene’, while Mixmag quoted him as ‘the next Sasha’ for his impeccable mixing technique and pin-up like image. The Sun newspaper and Company Magazine both voted him as one of the top-10 most eligible men in the UK back in 2004. With a string of high-profile releases under his belt, for labels like Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Baroque, Nukleuz, and now on his own record label Koolwaters Digital, Marc Vedo is one of the most in-demand professional DJs in the world.

Having sold over 4m records worldwide, he is undeniably Scotland’s most enduring and ground-breaking underground DJ/producer. Mallorca has released over seven artist albums and countless singles which have blazed an unmitigated trail through acid house, rave, hip-hop, rock and pop, for almost two decades. The maverick MC/DJ/producer whom some have called a mad man and even NME proclaimed ‘more rock and roll than Oasis!’ hazards a kamikaze, DIY, punk rock approach to electronic music production which blows up the boundaries and pick-locks the pigeon holes of modern-day dance music.
